I must share about the rest of my weekend. On Sunday, there was a parade celebrating the anniversary of the foundation of Antigua. It was mostly just schools and churches in the parade. The marching bands were pretty good. After that, I went with the Great Lakes crew to a place called “Café no sé” for an all you can eat pancake breakfast. Oh…..my……gosh, it was amazing! I had blueberry pancakes and macadamia pancakes. Between the 6 of us, we finished an entire bottle of syrup that was brand new. It was amazing. I mean…I guess the bottle wasn’t that big, but still…quite an accomplishment.
Now, for the greatest story ever. On Monday, when Lindsay and I were walking to class, I noticed a woman on the other side of the road on the sidewalk in the distance. Actually, at first I thought it was a man, but anyway. …Her pants were down to her knees and she was bending over. I said, “Oh my gosh, Lindsay, is that lady poohing?” And she said, “Yeah I think so. Let’s just walk by and ignore it.” We walked by talking as if nothing was happening, and we saw that she had a roll of toilet paper and she was wiping! EWWWW! What was going on? We walked far past her, and then we just busted out laughing because we couldn’t believe what we had just seen. Then, Lindsay turned her head to say something to me, and ran smack dab into a window corner that was made of concrete. Karma.
